Summer Kart Camps 2015

Place: Penticton SpeedwayIMG_0752

Time: Thursday’s from 9am to 11am starting July 2nd and ending August 27th

The Program:

This year’s Junior Kart Camps will operate on a “Drop-In” basis. Simply let us know 24 hours (or more) in advance and we will reserve a seat. We will also make sure he or she gets more than their fair share of grins, g’s and even some good old of fashion learning out of the experience!

This year we have several instructors working with our groups that will be focusing on activities appropriate for the age and skill levels represented. This will help to ensure that all racers make progress, have fun, learn and gain confidence every time they come to the racetrack.

We will spend off-track time talking about safety, racing rules and etiquette, kart tuning and, of course, driving and racing the karts. The kids will also watch, coach and act as pit-crew for the other groups that are on-track when they take a break from the driver’s seat. We will provide water and a light snack.   Drivers should bring a hat and a towel to every session.

On track sessions will be organized and scheduled by kart type and driver skill level. As drivers demonstrate improved decision-making and kart control, they will advance towards working on head to head driving (racecraft) and advanced karting techniques.

Racers who would like to try League racing can apply to qualify for our new “Rookie” during Evening Club/League racing events for 2015. Cost of League racing is additional. Please inquire if you are interested.
